The idea for Kauaʻi ʻUkulele Festival was born out of a love for music, create an environment for cultural engagement and a desire to bring people together. We wanted to create an event that celebrated ʻukulele music and provided an inclusive platform for both established and up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent.
Our mission is to provide a world-class music festival experience that brings together music lovers from around the world to celebrate the power of music. Our lineup features some of the talented local musicians, from well known to emerging artists.

Aldrine Guerrero & Aaron Nakamura, Kimo Hussey and Ned Dana, Kapaʻa Middle School ʻUkulele Band, Poʻipū/Kalaheo/Westside ʻUkulele ʻOhana, AG ʻUkulele Academy, Koloa Center Kūpuna ‘Ukulele Group, Na Kani Le'a, “The B3 Band”, and more! Bring your ʻukulele and participate in the Kanikapila following the event at 4 pm lead by Queenie Daligdig.

There will also be ʻukulele luthiers will be onsite selling their products including Donaldson ʻUkulele, Manea ʻUkulele and Pololu 'Ukulele, Tomas Braverman ʻUkulele's and Hanalei Strings plus various crafters selling ʻukulele related and music themed merchandise including jewelry, handcrafted wood items, post cards and logo merchandise. Plus a Hawaiian cultural activities zone with a short Ōlelo Hawaiʻi Hawaiian Language introduction with vocabulary list on colors, days and months. Kapala: Stamping activity with hand carved stamps by Na Maka Kahiko. All designs resemble a different meaning which were used when making kapa designs.
In addition, there will be a silent auction including items from BikeIt Poipu, Blue Dolphin Charters, Grand Hyatt Kauaʻi Resort & Spa, Kauaʻi Coffee Co., Kaua'i Museum, Kauaʻi Island Brewing Co. and The Cliffs at Princeville.

Aldrine & Aaron
Aldrine Guerrero and Aaron Nakamura, both based on Kauaʻi, are renowned ukulele players and instructors, co-founders of the online learning platform Ukulele Underground, and known for their collaborative performances and teaching. Recently they founded the AG ʻUkulele Academy based on Kauaʻi.

Mr. Hussey first started to play the ukulele over 70 years ago and says he is still in it because ukulele always has something positive to share. Having moved to Kauaʻi from Honolulu a bit over two years ago, Kimo continues to appreciate his worldwide teaching and concert activities but is now able to provide more specific attention to sharing ukulele specifica
AG 'Ukulele Academy
Based on Kauaʻi, the AG ʻUkulele Academy, led by award-winning musician Aldrine Guerrero, offers in-person ukulele lessons, including group sessions and private lessons, for all ages and skill levels.
Ohana Niʻihau
Kahu Kalei Kahale and Kahu Nawai Kahale are the senior pastors of Love On Jesus International Ministries, a faith-based organization located in Waimea, Hawaii. Their ministry focuses on community outreach and spiritual guidance, aiming to "win souls into the kingdom of God.

Kapaʻa Middle School ʻUkulele Band
The Kapa'a Middle School Choir is directed by Mary Lardizabal. The Ukulele Band is co-directed by Loke Sasil and Michael Koerte.
After returning from the World Strides Music Festival in Anaheim, the Choir brought home a Gold and the Ukulele Band received a Silver. 8th grader, Malana Baldwin, was the recipient of the 'Stand Strong " Award. Our students represented

A fusion of itinerant ukulele players from Po'ipu, the Kalaheo Pavilion, the Kalaheo Community Center Seniors, and the West side who come together in many different forms, and particularly the Ukulele Festival, to always make music and have fun.

The group started up after the pandemic with the county of kauai parks and rec. Seating six feet apart, started with just 6 kupuna. 5 years now we consist of 25+ members. We meet every Friday 10-12. On the last Friday's we entertain at the Garden Island Care in lihue for the residence there.
